On Saturday, June 29th, 2013 at Senat Hall of Kazimierzowski Palace, at The University of Warsaw, the 20th cohort of students graduated from the Warsaw – Illinois Executive MBA Program.
Prof. Alojzy Nowak, Prorector at the University of Warsaw, conducted The Ceremony which was attended by: Mr. Stephen D. Mull, US Ambassador to Poland; prof. Jan Turyna, Dean of School of Management at the University of Warsaw; dr. Tomasz Ludwicki, WIEMBA Director; and last, but not least - the Graduates and their families. The ceremony was also attended by the WIEMBA partners: Mr. Piotr Łuba, Partner at PwC Polska; Mr. Janusz Petrykowski, Vice President at ABB in Poland, Mr. Jerzy Ciempiel, HR Director at ABB in Poland; and Mrs. Zuzanna Warowna-Toruńska, Deputy Director, DDB Warsaw, who handed over the awards for the best papers on strategy (ABB) and marketing (DDB), as well as the best consulting project (PwC).

Awards were also given to the faculty: prof. Nicolas Petruzzi – the best teacher from The University of Illinois of the 20th cohort of WIEMBA students, and prof. Krzysztof Obłój – the best teacher from The University of Warsaw of the 20th cohort of WIEMBA students.
Mr. Janusz Petrykowski, Vicepresident at ABB, a guest lecturer of the Ceremony, presented guidelines, important in the journey through life and professional career of an Executive MBA graduate. On behalf of the Graduates, Jarosław Pękala thanked all the class mates and their families, the faculty and the WIEMBA team for cooperation and support. Dr. Patryk Mikucki, President of the WIEMBA Alumni Association „Nowy Świat” congratulated the Graduates and invited them to join the Association. Dr. Tomasz Ludwicki gave the last, but no least, speech of the Ceremony. The Graduation ceremony was graced by the UW Choir, who performed “Gaude Mater Polonia” and “Gaudemaus Igitur”, and followed with the toast and refreshments served at the Golden Hall of the Palace.
